Intake Process
1. Initial Consultation (30 minutes - Free)
During our complimentary 30-minute consultation, we will discuss your goals and your child's current educational situation. This is an opportunity for us to understand your concerns, answer any questions, and determine how we can best support your family.
2. Comprehensive Intake of all Information and Records
If you decide to proceed, we will send you an intake form to help us gather essential details about your child’s history, educational background, and relevant documents, such as IEPs, assessments, and school records.
3. Document Review
Once we receive all the necessary documentation, we will conduct a thorough review. This step helps us identify your child’s strength and needs, any gaps in the services and supports provided by the school, and key areas to address.
4. Personalized Advocacy Plan
Based on the document review and the information shared, we will create an advocacy plan that outlines our recommendations for next steps, including potential school meetings, services, and accommodations.
5. Ongoing Support and Advocacy
We will work closely with you throughout the process. This includes preparing for and attending IEP/504 meetings, clarifying any information, communicating with school staff, collaborating with school teams to write appropriate goals and strategize for effective follow through, and discussing next steps to ensure that your child’s needs are met and makes meaningful educational process. Should any conflicts or disagreements arise, we will guide you through the resolution process, including helping you file a complaint, request mediation, or initiate a due process hearing, if necessary.
